My aunt has finally took her first time in her long dreamed hobby. QUILTING!! its really fun and stuff, if u like sewing and DIYs. Not to forget, she is a big fan of flowers and green. she fell in love with quilts ever since she saw those magazines teaching ppl how to make their own quilts.
So, this afternoon i drove to Bangsar with her to the only quilt centre in KL area (I know the way there! So proud of myself) The fees were way too expensive for me because i only earn RM800 from VT. not to forget the hectic semester which is waiting for me end of the month. BTW,the lessons itself for 12 hrs cost RM290.
Lyang: reasonable what!!jing: For u only maSo she finally filled up the form. So i thought, ok... RM290 just flew from her wallet. Wait! there is more to come~
"it's time to choose your Fabric!"
hmm.... i looked around and saw all the colourful fabrics with flowers and teddy bears. The first question the lady asked.
"so, what colour do you like?"
before my aunt get to answer her, i shouted >>
GREEN~!my aunt looked at me with the
'YOU KNOW ME SO WELL' kinda look and she answered shyly>>"Green plaese"=]
BINGO~!
the longer we stay the more things appeared on the cashier table.
time goes by... and finally, its time to pay!. i was telling my aunt "i wonder if u can get out from here with 500 bucks." Seriously, i tot that was way more than enough
Here comes the interesting part

lady: so would like to pay by card or cashLyang: Card please..lady:ok. the total is.....*drumroll* RM 1,250++jing: 'HARH?!?!? did she see wrongly?!?!!?'the moral of the story is, quilting is an expensive hobby. Very expensive hobby. if u ever wanna consider quilting as your pass time, please think twice and make sure you do not GIVE UP half way!
at the end of the day, we got free gifts for spending RM200 and above, 2 pieces of cloth. which i think is those leftovers, that is in the shop for quite some time. so generous of her!! I'm so sarcastic.wahaha.
